My Dope and Drakkar X AB Fits #1198′s are over six months old at this point. With the exception of a short trip to San Fran for some recrafting I’ve worn them a minimum of 4 days a week I’d say, usually clocking 6-7 days. I’m still loving the cut on these, they are the best fitting jeans I have owned to date, and make some of my other pants feel ill fitting. I’ve definitely come to appreciate having just one pair of jeans that work for everything, and the process of truly make them mine. The #1198′s continue to prove stubborn against fading, and have me considering giving a belt sander a good dry humping in an attempt catch up to some of my fellow contributors fantastic fades. That said I am getting some decent honey combing behind the knees and some slight fades from stacking. My Benchmade and Billkirk card case continue to add their own character in relief on my front and rear right hand pockets. For those of you interested in the repairs AB Fits made to these, they’re holding up well. I do think the canvas scuff plates are a Bandaid fix until I finally buckle down and get these hemmed In the meantime they’re doing a great job of keeping me from destroying the jeans and look great in the process. They have however led to a few interesting conversations with coworkers on raw denim after the confused “What are those brown things on your jeans?” leads to an even more confusing answer.
